On the day December 7, 1941 in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii Japanese air force did a surprise attack on the U.S. naval base. Over 2,335 american servicemen were killed and about 1,143 were wounded from this attack. With the U.S in the war now it helped the Allies defeat the Axis power and end the war. One of the biggest turning points in the war was D-Day. D-Day was when Allied forces invaded the beaches in Normandy leading to the liberation of France and basically sealing the Allies victory in the war.
